Below are a few of the organizations who are helping to rescue Galgos and Greyhounds.
You can also donate directly to the organization of your choice.
National Greyhound Foundation-USA

Hello, my name is Sachi and I'm a 2 year old Galgo-Podenco or Spanish Greyhound Podenco mix. I lived my first two years in Spain where I began my career chasing rabbits when I was just 18 months old. However, after the hunting season was over my owner no longer wanted me and I was abandoned in the streets to die of starvation and thirst.
Fortunately, I was rescued and brought to a foster home in Hamburg, Germany. When I arrived, I was very ill and near deaths door. I was nursed back to health by kind, caring people. Once I completely recovered, my foster family put my picture on a website so people could see what a beautiful girl I am. An American family that lives in Kaiserslautern, Germany soon adopted me and now I live a wonderful life with my 4 Pug partners.
Although my story has a happy ending, it is not one for many of my family and friends back in Spain. Hundreds of Galgos are not only abandoned after the hunting season; many are hanged, burned, tortured and thrown down wells to die of starvation or from their wounds inflicted by their former owners.
That's why they need your help. It costs the Galgos/Greyhound rescue agencies hundreds of dollars, Euros, and British Pounds to prepare and fly just one dog out of Spain to Europe and the U.K. with a few making it as far as the U.S.
Your donation will help with testing for Mediterranean diseases, vaccinations, chipping, worming, passport, and flight to Europe and the U.K..
Please donate through PayPal Donation by clicking on the button to your right.

Thank you,
Sachi

Welcome to my website designed strictly for donations to the rescue efforts by those who give so much of themselves to rescue the Spanish Galgos. Many of them have full-time jobs and still donate hours of time and money traveling to Spain to bring as many Galgos as they can back to Europe and the U.K., either by car or plane.
As the new proud parent of Sachi, I decided that I too want to help with this website to make it easier for you to donate since most of the websites are in a foreign language. The donations will be divided at the end of each month and sent to the various rescue agencies.
Or if you have a particular organization you would like to donate to, you can click on one of the links and donate directly to that organization. You can also find out more information about the horrors these dogs suffer at the hands of hunters on several of the websites. However, I must warn you that the pictures are horrific and must not be seen by children and sensitive people. It is for that reason that I didn't want to include any photos on this website.
I hope you will find this site easy to navigate and that you will consider donating.
Thank you in advance for your donation.
Best regards,
